Individual Tax Returns Due for Tax Year 2009
If you have not applied for an extension,  e-file or have your individual tax return postmarked by midnight 4/15/2010.

 

 

Individual Tax Return Extension Form Due for Tax Year 2009
File your request for a tax filing extension by April 15th to push your tax deadline to 10/15/2010. The most common extension form filed is form 4868 - Automatic Extension of Time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.

 

 

1st Quarter Estimated Tax Payment Due
If you have income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes or if you are self-employed, get your form 1040-ES postmarked by 4/15/2010.

 

 

Last Day to make a 2009 IRA Contribution
If you have not funded your retirement account for tax year 2009, do so by 4/15/2010. April 15th is the last day to contribute to a traditional IRA and a Roth IRA. But if you have a Keogh or SEP IRA and you have received a filing extension to 10/15/2010 you can wait until 10/15/2010 to make your 2009 contributions.

If you have income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes or if you are self-employed, make sure your estimated payment is postmarked by 6/15/2010.

3rd Quarter Estimated Tax Payment Due
If you have income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes or if you are self-employed, make sure your estimated payment is postmarked by 9/15/2010.

 

 

 

October 15, 2010

 

Extended Individual Tax Returns Due 
If you’ve received an extension for your 2009 tax return you must have your individual tax return completed and postmarked by 10/15/2010.
